Calling all Bowlers:

Did you know there is a regional Bowls Club?  There is and it meets every Tuesday night over the winter in Castlereagh  .  There are actively seeking new members to boost their numbers.. Membership is a lowly £5 for the season and £1 is collected each night to cover the cost of the hall - that’s a bargain.

They will welcome all new joiners.  If you don’t have any bowls, don’t worry, they’ll lend you a couple to get you started for the first couple of weeks.  Go along on Tuesday night 7.30 pm at Clonduff Community Centre (off Castlereagh Road, Belfast)and they usually finish around 9.15 to 9.30 pm  or contact Mervyn Best for more details.

Dinner Dance:

Please book early, with Mr Nicholl, by the Christmas Social to guarantee your place.

The meal is a very good value £22 per person for all the courses and a wine reception at the excellent La Mon Hotel, and then a disco.  If you want to stay over that night, £65 will book you a double room and breakfast for two - A great night out and very popular with all our members.

Cheques for the dinner dance made out to CDDA, Cheques for the room made out to La Mon would be most helpful and keep the VAT man happy. (Please note price has changed from Update 16 and the Halloween Programme when I quoted £20 - my mistake, awfully sorry for confusion caused. The Snod)
